Locus Energy acquires additional sustainable energy production in southern Sweden

Locus Energy continues to grow through a new acquisition of local wind power production with good development opportunities. The works are located in Staffanstorp municipality, Region Skåne.

Most municipalities in southern Sweden have a significant power deficit. It hampers the growth opportunities local businesses. And it slows down the electrification of both industry and transportation. The electricity price area SE4, which includes Region Skåne, is the area in Europe with the least installed electricity production capacity in relation to use.

“About 50% of the wind power in Skåne is over 15 years old. At the same time, the expansion rate is low. That makes it even more important to utilize the potential of existing facilities such as the one we have now taken over”
