On 9 November 2023, the Municipal Council of Eskilstuna Municipality decided on the sale of Eskilstuna Vindkraft AB and the wind turbines at Rödstahöjden outside Sollefteå to Locus Energy. 

The portfolio currently produces more than 35 GWh of green electricity on an annual basis. Locus Energy plans to actively develop and optimize the operation of the wind turbines in Rödstahöjden in the future through additional investments

Through the acquisition, Locus Energy is currently active in 16 Swedish municipalities where continued direct investments will contribute to increasing local production of renewable energy.
